An ARRS priority is networking with researchers and scientific/educational organizations across the country and around the world.
The Karnataka Forest Department is an important partner with whom ARRS collaborates closely. Their support and encouragement has been essential to the success of all of the ARRS field based research projects.
An important ARRS objective is to provide alternate livelihood options and income generation opportunities to locals toward minimizing their dependence on rainforest resources and slowly wean them away from unsustainable livelihoods such as hunting and timber poaching.
